Course Dessert
Cuisine Japanese
- 2 slices milk bread
- 9 strawberries
- ¾ cup lightly sweetened whipped cream
Assemble the sandwich
Cut and remove the crusts from both slices of bread.
Add a layer of whipped cream to one slice of bread.
Then arrange the strawberries on top.
And then add the rest of the whipped cream on top of the strawberries.
Finally, place the other slice of bread on top.
Cut and serve
Remove the sandwich from the plastic wrap. Use the sharpest knife you have to slice through the center of the sandwich, ensuring that you slice directly through the strawberries. Make the slice with one fast cutting movement, rather than sawing motions. A quick cut prevents the cream from smudging up the strawberries and reveals a clean strawberry pattern. Serve right away.
